Welcome TO hUD'S pINBACKS!
Philadelphia high school pinbacks were a Philly tradition that, in its heyday, rivaled cheese steaks, soft pretzels and the Mummers Parade as a part of Philadelphia folklore. For at least 40 years, stretching to the late 1970s, high school students wore pinback buttons specific to their graduating class. The pins showed the character that the class selected as its class mascot. They have been documented from all the public high schools in Philly and go back at least to 1936.
